In United Kingdom, poll process has been continued for local government, Pakistani origin Muhammad Sadiq Khan is candidate for mayor of London.
According to British media, registered voters of 126 councils would cast their vote for Scottish Parliament, National Assembly of Wales and Northern Ireland Assembly.
New mayors would be elected for local government in London, Bristol, Liverpool and Salford, tough competition is expected between nominees for mayor including Pakistani origin Mohammad Sadiq Khan and Zac Goldsmith.While by-election would be held in Ogmore and Sheffield Brightside, police and crime commissioners would be elected in England and Wales.
According to Pakistani standard time, polling was begun at 11:00 am and would be continued till 2:00 am late at night.However, counting process would be carried out of Friday, several results would be announced while some of English councils would be announced in next week.
