DUBAI: Renowned Pakistani actors Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed were honored with commemorative shields during a special ceremony in Dubai, recognizing their significant contributions to the Pakistani film industry.
The event was organized as part of the promotional campaign for the film Love Guru and was attended by members of the Pakistani diplomatic mission, fans, and media representatives.
The honors were presented by Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, highlighting the importance of arts and culture in Pakistan’s soft power strategy.
Ambassador Tirmizi praised artists like Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed for their role in shaping a positive international image of Pakistan and promoting its culture worldwide.
He emphasized that, films such as Lo Guru serve as cultural bridges, reflecting Pakistan’s evolving cultural landscape and fostering global understanding.
Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed are appearing in a film together after almost 10 years. Their last film together, Bin Roye, was released in 2015.
