PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has refused to join the opposition’s grand alliance.
According to detail, PTI’s Central Secretary for Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had certain concerns related to local politics. He added that, on the instructions of the PTI founder, assurances were given to address those concerns.
According to Sheikh Waqas Akram, Maulana Fazlur Rehman initially requested time to consult with his party but later declined to join the alliance.
Sheikh Waqas Akram also mentioned that electoral alliances typically involve some give-and-take.
He further stated that the PTI founder has already made a statement regarding the minerals bill. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will first brief the PTI founder about the minerals bill, and the bill will only be passed if it has his approval. There is no division within the party regarding the minerals bill.
