FLORIDA: Everyone’s favorite animated mouse celebrated his 91st birthday on Monday.
Ninty one years ago, “Steamboat Willie” starring Mickey Mouse was released. The black-and-white 1928 short served as the first proper introduction of Walt Disney’s characters Mickey Mouse and Minnie.
The Mickey character did appear in a single screen test. However, Nov. 18 is celebrated as Mickey’s birthday by fans every year.
