KARACHI: MQM leader Waseem Akhtar has been handed over to District Malir Police for investigation, while SSP Malir Rao Anwar said that Waseem Akhtar was taken into custody after receiving court orders, while there are 25 cases registered against Waseem Akhtar in District Malir, in which his bail in two cases was not approved.
According to SSP Malir Rao Anwaar, MQM leader Waseem Akhtar’s bail in 23 cases were approved, while there are 25 cases on him in District Malir. Two cases are registered in Sachal Police Station and Malir City police station under Anti-Terrorism Act and Telegraph Act.
Rao Anwaar said that Waseem Akhtar was taken into custody from Jail after the court allowed. Waseem Akhtar will be investigated regarding cases, while MQM chief including other leaders were also named in those cases.
