KARACHI: A district and sessions court on Friday ordered investigation officer of Mureed Abbas’s murder case to complete investigation and submit a challan till August 09.
The court presided over by Judicial Magistrate South heard on the murder case of former News anchor of AbbTakk News Mureed Abbas.
Plaintiff’s lawyer and investigation officer sought more time to submit challan.
Investigation officer also told the court that operation is underway to apprehend the runaway suspect Adil Zaman.
On July 27, an eyewitness of the murder passed away in the Jinnah Hospital.
The driver of main accused Atif Zaman, Nadeem, had consumed a toxic substance on July 20 after which he was being treated at the Intensive Care United (ICU) of Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre.
The family of the deceased told police that Nadeem had attempted suicide by consuming a pesticide after he failed to find a job.
It is worthy to mention here that on the night of July 09, Mureed Abbas and his friend Khizer were murdered by their business partner named Atif Khan in Khayaban-e-Bukhari area of Karachi’s Defence.
