ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation institution NAB has approved to close corruption investigation against Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Chairman Qamaruz Zaman Chaudhary chaired NAB Executive Board meeting in Islamabad, during which NAB has approved to close investigation against Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, which continued since 2001. Besides, the Board has also announced to close investigation against Former Provincial Minister Abdul Karim Nosherwani, Zahid Anwer and Director of a private energy company Rukhsana Begum.
On the other hand, NAB has approved to file corruption reference against Former Food Minister of Baluchistan ASfadndyar Kakar and inquiry of corruption complaint against former MPA Ejaz Shah. Besides, NAB has decided to take action against Arshad Farooq Faheem and others over damaging national treasury with more than 690 million rupees in terms of medicines.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that corruption case against him was made on political grounds, adding that inquiry against him was launched for 15 times; hence justice is served now. He said that he will decide to take action against NAB after completion of his tenure.
