The United Opposition parties made consultations over the names of Election Commission Members given by the government. Meanwhile the Leader of Opposition in the National assembly Khursheed Shah has said that the names of EC Members are not yet been finalized while Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the country could not afford longer afford to have disputed election anymore.
The consultations meeting of the parties of the united opposition was held in Shah’s chamber at the parliament house.
Talking to media after the meeting with other opposition leaders Khursheed Shah informed that the names of EC Members are not yet been finalized. Detailed consultations over the names of EC members given by the government were made during the meeting. The opposition wants transparent appointments of EC Members and people who are not an employee of any government department.
