ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi said that nation is being puzzled using the issue of the presidential system and attempts being made to divert the people from real issues.
Talking to Abbtakk News program Tonight With Fereeha, President said that the presidential system has few merits and demerits, however, the debate over it should be made in parliament.
Replying over his meeting with chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) retired Javed Iqbal, he said that anti-graft watchdog chairman told him that he would have to pay more attention to major scam cases and will increase the number of accountability courts.
In his reaction over the allegations or spending national exchequer on Mushaira, Dr Alvi said that he had not held such program as it was organized by information ministry and only used the presidential Hall to save money.
