ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Inter-Provincial Coordination, Fehmida Mirza on Wednesday said that the National Games will be held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in October.
Talking to media before the departure of the national baseball team at Islamabad Airport she said that Pakistan is currently on the 24th spot in the ranking of baseball among 124 playing nations.
The minister said that only six Asian teams are participating in West Asia Cup Baseball Tournament and Pakistan is among those teams. She that the stakes are high for the probable success in the tournament.
Fehmida also announced that the National Games will be held in KPK later this year and vowed to improve the standards of sports, training and sportsmanship with the help of International coaches.
She also slammed the behavior of Afghan supporters following a defeat in the world cup of their national team and said that the numerous sports federations are undergoing an audit and the thing will definitely improve after that.
