LAHORE: Yousuf Abbas, nephew of incarcerated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday recorded his statement before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in cases pertaining to assets beyond means and money laundering.
The son of Nawaz’s third brother Abbas Sharif, Yousuf Abbas also came on the radar of the NAB as the anti-graft body summoned him for recording his statement on Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM). Yousuf appeared before the NAB authorities and recorded his statement for two hours.
According to sources, he was questioned about the financial details of the sugar mills owned by their family, shares and the board of directors in detail.
He was also inquired about the quantity of import of Sugar and the means of the amount brought to the country, the sources added.
Abbas was also questioned about the details of repayment of a loan of Rs800 million, the sources further concluded.
