Karachi: Sindh Minister for health Dr Azra Pechuho has said that no any case of monkey pox has been reported in Sindh yet while situation of malaria is under control where as 140 cases of chikungunya reported in the current year.
Addressing a presser in Karachi, the health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho said that a project for providing medicines and improving the test facilities in the government hospitals is going on. While capacity of all the government hospitals emergency departments are being increased.
She said that the most of the hospitals and clinics have ruined owing to rains which needs to be fixed.
She apprised that chief of the Jinnah Hospital has retired while it will take time to appoint a new director.
An investigation into admissions in nursing on fake domiciles are underway while the people belonging to department of health will be involved in it and an action will be taken against them, she said.
The minister said that scarcity of anesthesia doctors will be fulfilled while more Medico Legal Officers (MLOs) have been recruited .
She apprised that lady health workers program is also being strengthened for vaccination of polio and other protective vaccination .
