ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) information minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai over his absence in hearings of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) and Parliament attacks case.
The anti-terrorism court released the directives while hearing the high-profile case and asked authorities to produce the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial among 28 other political activists nominated in the case on March 28.
Moreover, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen, Finance Minister Asad Umar and Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood have submitted petitions for exemption for court’s appearance that was accepted by the ATC.
However, arguments were not conducted for the same pleas submitted by President Dr Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen.
The hearing was adjourned till March 28.
