ISLAMABAD: Opposition parties have prepared joint TORs for the investigation of Panama leaks with consensus, while Aitzaz Ahsan said that under the TORs of Opposition, Commission to probe Prime Minister’s assets in three months.
During media briefing after Committee meeting, which was formed by opposition parties related to Panama Leaks, PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that Opposition is agreed on commission under supervision of Chief Justice, but Commission will probe Prime Minister and his family first, while the commission will investigate all assets of Prime Minister abroad.
He said that PPP, PTI and MQM have same stance over Prime Minister’s resignation, while ANP and National Watan Party were not in favor of PM resignation. He said that inquiry will be transparent if Prime Minister will resign.
Aitzaz Ahsan told the journalists that Opposition finalized, in the committee meeting, that Commission will start its inquiry from Prime Minister and his family’s assets, while investigation of all other people included in Panama papers will be completed in a year.
