ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis involved in international trade can now complete biometric verification for Pakistan Single Window (PSW) services remotely through the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) PakID Mobile App.
The new facility allows PSW users to carry out biometric verification for new subscriptions, renewals and profile modifications using their smartphones, eliminating the need to visit a NADRA e-Sahulat Centre.
The development is expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis engaged in import, export and transit-related activities, enabling them to complete the verification process without travelling to Pakistan.
During a transition period, users will have both options available. They can either verify their identity through the PakID app or continue using NADRA e-Sahulat Centres.
PSW Chief Executive Officer Syed Aftab Haider said the integration was aimed at addressing the requirements of PSW users both within Pakistan and overseas.
He said remote biometric verification had removed another physical step from the registration process and would make onboarding more convenient and accessible.
With the latest integration, PSW said the subscription process has become fully digital, removing the final physical requirement previously involved in user registration.
The initiative forms part of PSW’s broader digitalisation efforts to simplify trade-related procedures and improve access to its services for businesses and Pakistanis living abroad.
