NISSHIN: Pakistan’s women’s cricket team clinched the bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games after beating Bangladesh by 31 runs in the third-place playoff at Korogi Sports Park on Tuesday.
Pakistan batted first but struggled to build a big total, finishing their allotted 20 overs at 145-8 as Bangladesh’s bowlers kept the Green Shirts under pressure throughout the innings.
Despite being restricted to a modest score, Pakistan produced a strong performance in the second innings to secure victory and finish third in the women’s cricket competition.
The bronze medal adds another achievement to Pakistan’s campaign at the Asian Games, with the team overcoming Bangladesh in the playoff to claim a place on the podium.
