Pakistan and India became the permanent members of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), a group dominated by Russia and China and also including former Soviet republics in Central Asia, while China vowed Islamabad will also be awarded member ship in SCO secretariat and Tashkent.
The group meeting was held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, and members unanimously approved the permanent membership of both Pakistan and India.
According to foreign news agency said that following getting the membership Pakistan will enjoy presentation in council and other institutions.
