Islamabad: Pakistan first lunar mission will be sent to the Moon tomorrow, Friday.
All the preparations have been completed to send Pakistan first satellite mission to the Moon.The mission will be sent to the Moon on May 3, Friday at 12:50.
According to the Institute of Space Technology (IST), the Pakistan maiden mission to the Moon will be sent from China’s city of Henon Space Launch site to the space.
As per the professor of IST and a member of core team of iCube-Q Khurram Khursheed apprised that the country’s first statelite lunar mission will be sent to the moon at 12:50 on May 3, tomorrow, Friday.
Dr Khurram Khursheed apprised further that the design and development of iCubeQ have been made by IST in partnership with China’s Shanghai University SJTU and Suparco,with colloboration of China and SUPARCO.
A two cameras have been installed in the iCubeQ for capturing of the moon surface pictures.
The pictures taken from the mission will be used in research purposes.
The Pakistan satellite mission will take round trip of orbit of the Moon whereas the Chinese mission will land on the Moon while this mission will collect soil of the Moon.
