New York (September 21, 2017): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that security situation greatly improved in Pakistan and it is quite feasible for foreign investments.
While addressing a luncheon hosted in his honor by Pak-US Business Council in New York on Wednesday, PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that it was very unfortunate that the perception presented by foreign media about Pakistan is quite different to that of reality.

He said Pakistan has rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war on terror. The Prime Minister said that said the government has taken numerous steps in sectors like energy, infrastructure, and economy.
Billions of rupees are being spent on the development of basic infrastructure in Pakistan, he said and added that democratic process is continuing in the country, which is critical for economic stability and foreign investment.
PM Abbasi said that he and US President Donald Trump discussed Afghan issue in an informal meeting yesterday. He said Trump had positive views about Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will address the 72nd session of United Nations General Assembly in New York today.
