LAHORE: Pakistani diplomatic official Ehsan Ur Rahim, has safely returned to Pakistan from India, amid ongoing diplomatic tensions.
According to the sources, Ehsan, who was declared an undesirable person by Indian authorities, arrived home yesterday after completing his diplomatic duties in India.
In a reciprocal move, Indian diplomatic official Shankar Reddy, along with his family, also returned to India. Both officials traveled via commercial flights on the same day, marking a significant development in the diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
The situation escalated when India declared Ehsan as an undesirable person and ordered him to leave Indian territory. Pakistan responded by declaring Shankar Reddy as an undesirable person and issued departure orders for him as well.
The return of both officials is seen as a step towards de-escalating diplomatic tensions, though the overall relationship remains strained.
