LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named national cricketer Shan Masood as the Consultant for International Cricket and Players Affairs.
The PCB spokesperson stated that the objective behind this appointment is to enhance communication between players and management while offering seasoned guidance on matters concerning international cricket.
At 36, Shan Masood has an impressive record, having played 44 Test matches, 9 ODIs, and 19 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. He has accumulated a total of 3,108 runs, which includes 6 Test centuries.
Recently, Masood also captained the national team in Test cricket, leading Pakistan in 14 matches.
The PCB highlighted that Masood’s extensive experience will play a significant role in improving players’ performance as well as elevating Pakistan’s representation on the international stage.
In his new capacity, Masood will contribute to shaping policies related to players’ professional development initiatives and refining the structure of international cricket.
