Preparations are on for Pakistan Cricket Board’s new central contract, which will be officially announced in the first week of October, with Sarfraz Ahmad pushing up to A category from B as a reward for magnificent performance in all three formats of the game.
Sarfraz would be joining Yunus Khan, Misbahul Haq, and Azhar Ali in the A catetgory. Sarfraz will be paid Rs 500,000 monthly salary in addition to the match fee.
Imad Wasim is also being included in B category being rewarded for his excellent performance. Players in B category will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 300,000.
Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal would not be able to made themselves a place in the central contract.
Muhammad Amir, Suhail Khan, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Nawaz, Sharjeel Khan, and Kahlid Latif will also be able to make it to the new central contract.
