KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi beat Karachi Kings by 9 runs in the 11th match of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 at National Cricket Stadium.
Karachi Kings got off to a horrible start, with Sharjeel Khan and Sahibzada Farhan bagging ducks, before Ian Cockbain injected some momentum into the innings with a few crisp hits.
Babar just wasn t getting his timing right at first, but once he got going, he just didn t stop. But it wasn t a chase he could have done alone.

Playing first, Peshawar Zalmi set 174 runs target for Karachi Kings after they were put to bat by Babar Azam-led Karachi Kings.
Peshawar Zalmi gave a good performance with their batting with opener Hazratullah Zazai scoring 41 runs off 27 balls, while Kamran Akmal added 21 runs to the total from just 19 balls. Haider Ali, who came to the pitch after Kamran Akmal, was only able to score 16 runs off 21 balls, but Shoaib Malik made up for it through his half century and score of 52 runs off just 28 balls.
Ben Cutting also managed 24 runs off 22 balls, while Sherfane Rutherford added 9 runs to the total from just 4 balls. Peshawar Zalmi managed to end the first innings setting a target of 174 runs for the Karachi Kings.
