Islamabad (April 13, 2018): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will arrive on a brief visit to Muzaffarad today.
PM Abbasi will formally inaugurate power generation from first unit of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower project.
The first unit is already contributing 60 MW electricity to the national grid and will generate electricity to its full capacity of 242. 25 MW.
The project with total capacity of 969 MW electricity consists of four units or turbines. The second, third and fourth units 242.25 MW each will start functioning upto July this year.
Over 19 billion rupees were allocated in fiscal year 2017-18 PSDP for completion of the long awaited project.
