Prime Minister in Contact with U.S. Administration on Tariff Issue, a Beneficial Solution Will Be Found Soon
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a meeting with a delegation from the U.S.-Pakistan Business Council, stated that communication with the U.S. administration is ongoing regarding the tariff issue, and a mutually beneficial solution will be reached soon.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the delegation from the U.S.-Pakistan Business Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation included Charles Freeman, Senior Vice President for Asia at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Esperanza Gomez, Executive Director for Asia and President of the U.S.-Pakistan Business Council; Henny Hensar, Director of Government Affairs at Abbott Industries; Esra Koni, Head of Public Policy for Eurasia at Apple; and other representatives.
From Pakistan’s side, the attendees included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar; Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan; Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahsan Iqbal Cheema; Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar; Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain; and Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Owais Ahmad Leghari.
