ISLAMABAD: It is expected that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will announce the Uran Pakistan programme today.
According to the Ministry of Planning, Uran Pakistan will be a 5-year national economic plan which will cover the period from 2024 to 2029.
According to sources, the federal government will increase exports to $60 billion annually by 2029 under this programme, and the number of IT graduates will increase by thousands annually. Under this programme, literacy rate will be promoted and poverty will be reduced.
Sources said that through Uran Pakistan, the country is to provide the foundation for a $1 trillion economy by 2035.
Sources said that IT exports have been given special importance in this programme.
