PM sends warm Nowruz wishes to Pakistan and Celebrants Worldwide

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has conveyed warm wishes to those celebrating Nowruz, both in Pakistan and globally.

In a heartfelt message celebrating Nowruz he said, “the day marks the advent of spring and renewal of nature.”

He said it is an opportunity to express gratitude for the countless blessings that have been bestowed upon humanity and to express our hopes and aspirations for the new year.

Shehbaz Sharif said the celebration of Nowruz marks the beginning of the Iranian new year, a time to welcome the new year with new hopes and aspirations.

The Prime Minister extended his gratitude to the various communities celebrating Nowruz in the country, with special recognition for the Parsi community, highlighting their significant role in Pakistan’s development.

He called upon all citizens to unite and transform this Nowruz into a celebration of overcoming differences, fostering inclusivity, and enhancing regional and cultural harmony, thereby strengthening the bonds of unity among the diverse population.

Pakistan, alongside twelve other countries, recently celebrated the vibrant Nowruz Festival at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. The event drew together diplomats, dignitaries, and community members, highlighting the rich cultural heritage associated with Nowruz. Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch represented Pakistan during this significant occasion.

The festivities featured an array of traditional music, performances, and cultural exhibitions, showcasing the diversity of Nowruz celebrations. Attendees were treated to a delectable feast of Pakistani cuisine, including favorites like Shami Kebabs, Basmati Biryani, and Lassi, offering a delightful glimpse into Pakistan’s culinary heritage.
