PM Shehbaz Sharif Slams Global Silence Over Israel’s ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

RIYADH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing atrocities in Gaza, emphasizing the deepening humanitarian crisis that has made life unbearable for the Palestinian people.

Addressing the Arab Summit in Riyadh on Monday, the Prime Minister stated, “The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached unimaginable depths. For more than a year, the occupied Palestinian territories have been engulfed in endless suffering, with entire families torn apart by violence and deprivation.”

He questioned the international community’s silence in the face of these horrors, asking, “How long will humanity continue to turn a blind eye to hospitals being destroyed, children and infants being killed, and families being obliterated?” He called the actions of Israel “a clear violation of all moral and legal codes,” adding that these atrocities had been rightly classified as genocide, not only by the media but also by international legal bodies such as the International Criminal Court.

“The killing continues unabated, with every passing day marking a new low in the violation of human rights. How long will this massacre be ignored?” the Prime Minister asked, pointing out that Israel’s brutal actions have been emboldened by the international community’s inaction. “The failure to act has allowed Israel to continue its violence unchecked,” he asserted.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a productive meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, Engr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and Royal Court Advisor, Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri. The meeting focused on advancing bilateral economic cooperation and following up on key projects between the two countries. The Prime Minister lauded the progress made in various areas of collaboration and acknowledged the hard work of technical teams, which have played a critical role in strengthening the economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He expressed confidence that the ongoing efforts would lead to further economic integration and mutual benefit for both nations
