ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that the support affirmed by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to people of Indian held Kashmir is yet another defeat for “law-violating” India.
General Secretariat of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Sunday expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including reports of additional deployment of paramilitary forces.
Moreover, the General Secretariat was “saddened” to learn about the civilian casualties resulting from ceasefire violations carried out by Indian forces across the Line of Control, expressing solidarity with the people of held Kashmir.
In a series of tweets, the Special Aide asserted that Pakistan offers its assistance to all those Kashmiris who have been bearing atrocities through hands of Indian troops.
She said: “OIC’s expression of unity with Kashmiris is a message for International community, calling for immediate role-playing to solve Kashmir dispute”.

In the wake of Indian aggression along LoC, she said that OIC testified that Indian forces were using cluster bombs on innocent civilians and stressed that United Nations and other peace-loving and civil nations must take notice of the matter.

Applauding OIC to support Kashmiris in their right for self-determination, Firdous Ashiq Awan thanked the institution for drawing attention of globe towards “legal, lawful and democratic right of Kashmiris, once again”.
