Layyah (June 8, 2017): The dissident Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Leader and head of Awami Raj Party (ARP) Jamshed Dasti has been arrested from Layyah for illegally stealing water.
Police said that MNA Jamshed Dasti was arrested for releasing water in canal from Head Kalo work forcefully and illegally. He was warned few days ago for illegally opening Danga Canal.
Police further said he was arrested near Rehmatabad check post and case has been registered against him in Karam Dad Qureshi police station.
Few days ago Jamshed Dasti, the national assembly legislator from Muzaffargarh, who is known for populists tactics, pro-poor and anti-elitists stance, went to the native area of Khar, Sananwan, and became cobbler to mend and polish the shoes of the electorates.
The sitting MNA mended and polished the shoes of the people throughout the day.
