Private Plane Crashes on Highway in California, Two Injured  

California (July 1, 2017): A small private plane, Cessna 310, has crashed into the busy California highway on Friday night.

Acceding to the details, a twin-engine plane crashed and burst into flames on a California highway Friday, leaving its two occupants with major injuries.

The Cessna 310 went down on the 405 Freeway north of MacArthur Boulevard in Irvine shortly after taking off from John Wayne Airpor.

The plane crashed in a ball of flames after clipping a car short of Runway 20R, Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The pilot and passenger, a man and a woman, were pulled from the fiery wreckage and taken to a hospital with “traumatic injuries,” Orange County Fire Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
