KARACHI: In PSL 11, Islamabad United secured their spot in the playoffs by defeating Hyderabad Kings in a one-sided match by 8 wickets.
The match, played in Karachi, saw Islamabad United win the toss and invite Hyderabad Kings to bat first. Hyderabad’s batting line was bowled out for just 80 runs, with Osman Khan scoring 25 runs as the top scorer.
Islamabad United’s bowlers Richard Gleeson, Shadab, and Imad Wasim took 3 wickets each.
Chasing a target of 81 runs, Islamabad United achieved it comfortably in the 7th over with 2 wickets remaining. Young batter Moshin Riaz contributed 42 runs, while Samir Muneer remained not out with 27.
With this victory, Islamabad United has qualified for the PSL 11 playoffs.
It is worth noting that Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans have already secured their spots in the playoffs.
