RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said that Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) itself was not an issue, adding that few individuals playing in foreign hands are exploiting sentiments of the people.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief gave these remarks during his interaction with students of various universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Corps Auditorium in Peshawar on Thursday.
COAS Bajwa said Pakistan is blessed with dynamic and talented youth and future of the country belongs to them.
He said Pakistani nation and it’s Armed Forces have done a great job for combating terrorism adding that it’s time now to have its dividends through socio-economic development in which education is most important.
The Army Chief said both government and the security forces are working to address genuine issues of the tribal people regardless of where they come from.
