Lahore: The opposition in Punjab Assembly on Thursday has submitted a resolution seeking contempt of court action against special assistant to chief minister Punjab Firdous Ashiq Awan.
The resolution put forward by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) member Sameera Komal also demanded to remove the SACM from her post.
It was stated in the resolution that Firdous Ashiq Awan once again committed contempt of court adding that she declared bail of Shahbaz Sharif against the merit.
It is furhter mention in the resolution that the SACM also criticised the judges who granted bail to Shahbaz Sharif. It added that Firdous Ashiq Awan also has criticised honourable judge of Supreme Court Justice Qazi Faiz Essa.
The resolution demanded to take contempt of court action against Firdous Ashiq Awan immediately and she also be removed from her post of the special assistant to Chief Minister Punjab.
