WASHINGTON: During a media briefing on Tuesday, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce emphasized that the United States is closely monitoring the rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
On a question Tammy Bruce said, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to engage in discussions with his counterparts from Pakistan and India in light of rising tensions between the two countries, as announced by the State Department spokesperson.
“We are actively reaching out to both nations, urging them to refrain from escalating the situation,” spokesperson Tammy Bruce informed reporters.
Rubio is also advocating for other foreign ministers to engage with the two nations to facilitate dialogue, she added.
