SC Moved to Restrain PM from Transfer/Posting Till Panama Case Decision

Islamabad (July 10, 2017):  A petition was filed in Supreme Court of Pakistan seeking court order to restrain the Prime Minister from any transfer and postings in federal government institutions and provide security to the Panama JIT member and their families.

As the joint investigation team (JIT) probing Sharif family is all set to present it final report in the SC today, a petition was filed in the apex court on Monday seeking court’s directives to the government to provide security to the JIT members and their families.

The petitioner, filed by one Riaz H. Rahi, has pleaded the apex court to restrain the Prime Minister from any transfer and posting in bureaucracy.

 

He has pleaded that an important case was being heard against the Prime Minister and during the hearing the PM can influence the case through transfers and posting in bureaucracy.

He requested the court to issued directives to Federation and Interior Ministry not to issue anmy notification on the Prime Minister orders till the disposal of the Panama case.’

He further pleaded the court to directed Interior Ministry to provide security to the families of the JIT member as per Article 9 of the constitution.
