Lahore (February 10, 2018): The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Saturday summoned Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in clean water case.
According to details, the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar led bench was hearing clean water case in Lahore registry of the apex court. The chief Justice said that he knew what are problems faced by the people.
The apex court summoned the chief minister Punjab after it was informed regarding a report pertaining to spilling of waste in River Ravi.
The CJP said that Lahore is the heart of Pakistan and no one know what is being thrown in the heart of the country. “If Lahore is witnessing such things than what would be the situation in other parts of the country,” he said.
The CJP remarked that the report comes under article 5, 204 and 190 which deals with the responsibilities of the state. “We will be implementing all sections of the constitution in this case as we know what people are suffering through such things,” he said.
