Rawalpindi(July 17, 2018): Security of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz has been increased in Adyala Jail.
According to the sources, 6 personnel have been deployed at the security of Nawaz Sharif, while woman deputy superintendent along with 6 women personnel have been placed at the security of Maryam Nawaz.

Sources claimed that duo of father and daughter has been informed to be vigilant.
Sources have also revealed that the Jail superintendent will inspect the meal and the water provided to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz by himself.
Earlier, Senator of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Pervaiz Rasheed raised question over the absence of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from today’s hearing in AC.
Talking to the media alongside Barrister Zafarullah, Rasheed recalled how Nawaz was summoned, even twice a day, to appear in court during the course of the trial since last year.

Pervaiz Rasheed wondered why Nawaz is being deprived of his legal right to be in court during the hearing against him.
Rasheed called on the court to answer these questions that he claimed are perturbing the people of Pakistan.
In response to a question, the senator said the PML-N government did not undertake such a trial against any politician in its five-year tenure nor has such a trial taken place in the country’s history.
Rasheed also highlighted how those who protested against the government roamed scot-free for years despite warrants being out for them by the relevant courts.
Shahbaz Demands Facilities In Jail For Nawaz Sharif:
Earlier on Monday, President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Shehbaz Sharif requested that Nawaz Sharif to be provided facilities in jail that are in line with his stature as a former PM.
In a letter to the Caretaker Prime Minister, Nasirul Mulk, Shehbaz asked the authorities to ensure that medical facilities are provided to Nawaz. He also requested that the former prime minister’s medical checkup be conducted regularly during his stay in jail.

The former Punjab chief minister also asked for permission for Nawaz’s doctor to visit regularly visit the jail, stating that the former has a heart disease that requires regular checkups.
The deposed prime minister and his daughter Maryam were arrested on July 13 upon their arrival in Lahore, a week after being sentenced to prison in the Avenfield Properties corruption reference. They were imprisoned in Adiala jail on the same day.
