Karachi (August 25, 2017): Sindh High Court on Friday heard a petition seeking meeting with an accused in MQM leader Imran Farooq murder case.
An SHC bench heard a petition filed by Beena Khalid, wife of Khalid Shamim, for meeting with her husband.
During the course of hearing, the court remarked according to reports of different law enforcement agencies and institutions, Khalid was in prisons in Islamabad in a criminal case.
The court advised the petitioner to approach the relevant forum for meeting with Khalid Shamim.
As the petitioner Beena Khalid and his counsel did not appear before the court on Friday, the court adjourned hearing of the case for indefinite period.
It is to be mentioned here that Khalid Shahmi is a key accused in murder of MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq case. The accused is currently being tried in a court in Islamabad over the murder in London.
