A massive terror plan was foiled in a joint action by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and security agencies in Sheikhupura during which eight alleged terrorists were killed while six others managed to escape.
According to 14 terrorists affiliated with banned outfit were planning a massive terror act in Hoeki near Sharqpur Road started firing when CTD and security agencies surrounded the area and started a search operation.
Eight terrorists were killed on the spot in the return fire while six maned to flee taking cover of the darkness.
The bodies of the dead terrorists are shifted to District Headquarter hospital Shiekhupura. According to security agencies explosive materials, arms, and maps of sensitive places were recovered from the poession of the terrorists.
A search operation is underway for the arrested of the accomplices of the dead terrorists.
