Sindh govt presents budget for financial year 2024-2025 with estimated outlay of Rs 30 trillions

Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah having portfolio of finance ministry presented budget of financial year 2024-2025 with an estimated outlay of Rs 30 trillions.

The CM Sindh announced that salaries of government employees increased by 22-30 percent and pensions by 15 percent while aiming of the uptick is to provide financial protection.

From grade 1 to 16, 30 percent raise has been given to the government employees while 22 percent uptick has been given to grade 17 to 22 employees.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said that a whopping sum of Rs 34.9 billion allocated for helping the poor.

While the minimum wage of the laborers has been fixed at Rs 37,000, the CM said.

The earning of the government estimated by Rs 3000 billion in the budget.

A sum of Rs 334 billion allocated for health, Rs 519 for education, 329 billion for local government while a sum of Rs 194 billion earmarked for home ministry.

The CM Sindh apprised that a whopping Rs 58 billion allocated for agriculture, Rs 94 billion for irrigation, Rs 86 billion for works and services.

The CM Sindh said that a sum of Rs five billion allocated for “Mazdor Card” while for helping the 12 million farmers, a handsome sum of Rs 8 billion allocated in the budget.

Besides a handsome sum of Rs 56 billion allocated for transport while a sum of Rs 153 billion for SGCD, he added.

A sum of Rs five billion earmarked for a construction of new canal like the Hub canal for provision of water to Karachi, the CM Sindh said.

He said that a sum of 5 billion will be allocated for five years for solarization initiative.

For the first time in the police, funds have been allocated for 485 police stations around the province, he apprised.

For decreasing the financial burden on the citizens Rs 116 billion subsidies program has been started in the province.
