Sindh High Court judges excused for hearing constitutional petitions

Karachi: After the establishment of constitutional benches in Sindh High Court under the 26th constitutional amendment, other judges have excused from hearing constitutional petitions.

On Tuesday, an urgent hearing of the petition on the issue of SBCA was requested in the High Court, concerned lawyer said that my case falls under Article (2) 199.

On this occasion Justice Salahuddin Panhoor said, constitutional bench will hear the requests related to stopping the provincial government or the federal government from taking action, you should take permission from Justice KK Agha.

We are giving permission conditionally, first the office will decide whether it will hear a regular bench or a constitutional bench, says court.

The court waived the hearing of NAB notices, de-freezing accounts, providing protection and other cases while the court directed to change the application related to quashing the FIR and present it before the bench.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the applications for an indefinite period.
