KARACHI: Three of Sindh’s significant cultural and historical sites have been officially recognized on UNESCO’s tentative list, highlighting their global importance. The sites recognized are the ancient Kot Diji Fort, Naukot Fort, and Umerkot Fort, each with rich historical significance.
Sindh’s Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, celebrated this milestone, calling it a proud moment for the region. He emphasized that this recognition will enhance the international visibility of Sindh’s unique cultural legacy, fostering greater appreciation and preservation efforts on a worldwide stage.
