Student Placed a Thousand-Rupee Note in Exam Copy, Wrote ‘Please Pass Me’: Chairman Intermediate Board

KARACHI: Chairman Intermediate Board, Sharaf Ali Shah has apprised that a student had placed a thousand-rupee note in their paper with a request, “Please pass me.”

As per detail, similar to last year, the Intermediate Part 1 exams in Karachi have become controversial this year as well. The success rate was 33% in Pre-Medical and 29% in Pre-Engineering.

Political parties, students, and parents have expressed concerns over the results of the 11th-grade exams under the Karachi Intermediate Board. In response to these concerns, the Board has formed an investigative committee and reduced the scrutiny fee by 50%.

Chairman Sharaf Ali Shah, after claiming that students had written songs in their exam papers, made another claim, he stated that some students had placed a thousand-rupee note in their papers and written, “This is all I have, please pass me.”

The Acting Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Board held the students responsible for the low marks in the Intermediate results, stating that the curriculum had changed over the last two years, and students were not attending classes in colleges. He said that students did not know the answers to the questions, and some believed that if they filled out the paper, the teacher would simply mark it and give them marks.
