ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar has asked the Pakistan Broadcasters Association to develop a support system for journalists.
In a post on X, Tarar said television channels earn revenue from government and private-sector advertising, as well as digital platforms, but lack a dedicated welfare fund or compensation scheme for journalists killed while working.
