PESHAWAR: One terrorist was killed in an exchange of firing with Peshawar police in Hayatabad area of the city.
According to police, the Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) have raided a house in Peshawar on the presence of some terrorists. The terrorists opened directed firing on police, injuring a cop.
The injured policeman was shifted to a nearby hospital where he scummed to his wounds and embraced martyrdom. Police have cordoned off the area and started the search operation, which is underway from last 11 hours.
According to police, five terrorists are hiding out in the house.
KP information minister Shaukat Yousufzai has also confirmed the death of police personnel.
