Reacting to day of protest announced by Muthahida Quami Movement (MQM) today DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar that there will be no strike of any kind in Karachi and those trying to shut shops down will be dealt with sternly.
MQM had announced to stage protest al across Sindh including Karachi today over siege of the house of MQM leader Farooq Sattar. MQM had also appealed to the traders and business community to keep their businesses and transportation closed today.
Reacting to MQM’s protest announcement DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar further said in the statement that Sindh Rangers is ready to provide protection to the citizens under any situation.
He asked the people not to pay attention to any unreasonable strike call and bring out vehicles on the street and open businesses freely, Sindh Rangers will provide them protection. Asking the businesses and petrol pumps to open as usual DG Rangers said that those trying to shut shops down will be dealt with sternly.
