Islamabad: National third anti-polio campaign underway across the country on fourth day on Thursday, today whereas a 81 percent vaccination has been completed in the first three day of the campaign, the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) apprised.
As per the NEOC, the vaccination administered in Punjab by 85 percent and 68 percent in Sindh.
On the other hand, the immunization h as been completed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provice by 86 percent whereas 74 percent under five-years age children vaccination completed in Balochistan.
In the similar manner, the polio drops have administered to 63 percent children in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, 93 percent immunization completed in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and 91 percent in Gilgit Baltistan.
For the prevention of the lethal disease polio, the anti-polio campaign has been continued in Pakistan and Afghanistan simultaneously.
The NEOC has appealed to the parents to open their gates for the polio teams adding vaccinating less than five years of age children is the moral and national obligation of every citizen.
The polio virus still exists in our enviroment posing a grim threat to the country, the NEOC warned.
Reiterating its appeal to the parents, the NEOC stressed the parents to administer polio drops to your children in every anti-polio campaign.
