RAWALPINDI: In heartbreaking incident during construction work at Adiala Jail when an elevator fell, leading to the death of one worker and the serious injury of two others, the incident took place in the jail colony, where construction activities were underway.
The deceased, identified as Ghulam Mustafa, hailed from the Kot Addu tehsil in Muzaffargarh district. He tragically lost his life on the spot, while the two other workers sustained severe injuries. The injured workers have been rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
In the aftermath of the accident, all construction work at the site has been halted as authorities investigate the cause of the elevator’s failure. Initial reports suggest that a malfunction during the lifting process might have led to the fatal incident, but a full inquiry is underway.
