Madina: Sheikh Hudaify, the Imam of Masjid e Nabwi, Islam’s second holiest site, emphasized that true love and honor for the Prophet come from obeying his commands, avoiding prohibitions, and worshiping Allah according to his teachings.
He quoted the hadith, “None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to you than your father, children, and everyone else” (Bukhari and Muslim), highlighting that love means following the Prophet’s guidance, not introducing new practices.
He noted that the Prophet’s companions, who never celebrated Melad, were the best generation because they adhered strictly to the Sunnah and avoided innovations
